Isn't that crazy? We tell little kids not to "show off", insisting they dim their light right from the beginning. As women we're expected to not be "too much", or too confident. Other women man the gates and try to corral us back into place if we get too "full of ourselves".

As someone raised the opposite, I've faced a lot of backlash throughout my life, but even as kids, we know our real worth. I work tirelessly to help people find and shine their light, without needing permission.

Don't shine too bright, you'll offend other people. One thought we can all do without.
